James Sullivan

Lead Long Range Meteorologist

From Solon, Ohio, a Cleveland suburb, James has been interested in the weather for as long as he can remember. A distinct memory for him is the Veteran’s Day 2002 tornado outbreak, during which a tornado went right down his street. James began learning to predict the weather in middle school and high school by telling his classmates whether or not they could expect a snow day, and went to Ohio University where he graduated with his bachelors in meteorology in spring of 2016. James began working with WeatherWorks as a part time Long Range Meteorologist the following fall, and joined the staff as a full-time meteorologist in the summer of 2018. James’ duties include Long Range forecasting, creating daily forecasts, sending storm alerts to clients, and Certified Snowfall Totals. Being from Cleveland, James is unfortunately a fan of all of their sports teams, including the Browns (his words, not James is proud to say that he watched a considerable portion of the Browns games during their historic 2017 season.
