- Lexie Skinner
Alexandra, also known as Lexie, became involved with the WeatherWorks family in her junior year of college completing an internship in the summer of 2016 and then working part-time for the company as a certified snowfall total analyst later that winter. After graduating from Rutgers University with a bachelors degree in operational as well as climate meteorology in the spring of 2017, she began working full-time for the company later that fall. At work, she is involved in writing blogs and reports, forensics, and soon will be learning her way around the sales department.
Growing up in northern New Jersey on a few acres of land, it was a love of being outside, regardless of the weather, that inspired her to pursue a career in a natural science field. Outside of work, Lexie enjoys hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter and being outdoors as much as possible in between. She loves exploring the woods, swimming in the undiscovered lake of Northern NJ and photographing nature. Wherever she goes, she can always be found carrying around one of her favorite books by Leo Tolstoy or Edgar Allen Poe. A fun fact about Lexie, she named her car after the lowest layer of the atmosphere where weather occurs, the Troposphere!
