- Chris Castellano
Raised in South Jersey, Chris’s fascination with storms began at an early age while watching coverage of the Superstorm of 1993. He even pretended to be a weatherman in front of the wall in his kitchen. Eventually, the Blizzard of 1996 stamped his love for weather after nearly three feet of snow fell in his hometown. Further fueled by several hurricanes and severe weather events, it was decided in high school that he would pursue this passion in college, eventually attending Rutgers University and receiving his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology in 2008.
After several years of professional experience in the field, Chris joined WeatherWorks in October of 2015. Along with being a member of the forecasting team, he also chips in on radio, broadcasting for several stations across the Tri - State Area. Besides forecasting, his other responsibilities have branched out to Certified Snowfall Totals, writing for the Midwest Newsletter and blogs, as well as becoming a growing member of the forensic meteorology team.
Chris is also a bowler outside of his work, attending leagues or just open bowling with friends and family when time permits. He is an avid sports fan, and loves rooting for the Mets, Rangers, Giants, and Knicks. He attends games whenever he can, including going back to his alma mater to watch Rutgers football.
