In the hard times many NJ residents have faced in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, WeatherWorks has been doing our part to aid in relief efforts. Since Monday, several members of our staff have been volunteering to help in any way possible at the NJ shore. Our first group consisted of meteorologists Nick Troiano, Rob Reale, Mike Mihalik, Dan Thompson, Nick Marguccio and our president Frank Lombardo. On Monday and Tuesday, we helped clear flood damaged items from houses in Manahawkin and on Long Beach Island. We also lent a much needed hand at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission, sorting and handing out clothes, blankets, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products to Sandy victims.

For the remainder of the week, another group of our staff will be heading down to the shore points and will continue volunteering wherever possible. We'll have more on our activities later in the week.
