New Features of Certified Snowfall Totals

September 9, 2015 // Article by: Nick Marguccio

After several months of hard work, we are excited to announce that the Certified Snowfall TotalsTM program has been revamped on both the signup and client end for the upcoming season. We have added many new features to help with both billing and the organization of your snow and ice reports through the winter. Here are some of the highlights from the client site below:

Home Page:

The look and feel of the homepage remains user-friendly and familiar. Users can view storms by either using the calendar, storm history or quick links on the left hand side. The greatest new feature is the “Advanced Search” option near the top of the page, which makes finding information easier. With the ability to search for total accumulation, ice accretion and much more, users will find this feature quite useful. As always, any storm or search has the capability to export the data to PDF or Excel with the option to now toggle on or off the narratives.

Cumulative Totals:

The “Cumulatives” tab in the top header provides a much cleaner table to display monthly and seasonal totals for the current and two prior seasons. In addition to filtering and exporting options for all subscribed zip codes, graphical displays of both events and snowfall for individual locations during the season are available by clicking the chart icon to the right. These wonderful, visually appealing displays also have use for planning contracts for the season, while our Data & Stats Department can provide even more information if needed.

Thresholds:

Another brand new feature this year is the “Thresholds” option(above), which gives users the ability to monitor and be notified when a location reaches a certain cumulative total during the season. This is perfect for staying on top of contractual caps or overages. Users can monitor progress on the website in addition to setting up an email for when a location hits a user-defined threshold number.

We at WeatherWorks are quite excited about the revamped Certified Snowfall TotalsTM. Great strides were made to retain familiarity and popular features, while at the same time adding new functionality and improving usability. Be sure to check out the site before the season starts and for any additional questions, try the FAQ at the top of the page.  For those not yet renewed for the 2015-16 season, login and be sure to click the bar at the top to renew your account before the season starts.
