After each snowfall,
spotters are asked to log-in to the Snow Spotter Network and
post the snowfall measurement for your town.
-
The most important step in the
snow measuring process is to submit data in a TIMELY fashion, as soon as
the measurement is taken, please send
in the data at the computer.
Otherwise your valuable snowfall information could be overlooked!
-
This is a great experience for
schools and science classes! Students will be able to
participate in volunteer work for science, along with learning
about real-world applications in science (the
challenges of snow measuring).

Be
sure to check out this
brief, 2 minute Presentation on how to accurately
measure snow
